The shared unlawful objective of an unlawful assembly � making every member vicariously liable.

Full Definition

Section 149 IPC: members of an unlawful assembly (5+ persons) are vicariously liable for offences in pursuit of the common object. Unlike Section 34, mere membership and knowledge of the object suffices.
