PM JUGA

Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan

PM Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan (PM JUGA) was launched on 2 October 2024 with a ₹79,156 crore outlay over 5 years. It targets saturation coverage of 25 central government welfare schemes specifically in tribal-majority villages that have historically been underserved. The 25 schemes include: PM-KISAN, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana (Gramin), PM Ujjwala, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM POSHAN, MGNREGS, PM Vishwakarma, PM SVANidhi, PMKVY, and 15 others. The mission's core insight is that tribal villages often have very low saturation of welfare scheme benefits despite high eligibility — PM JUGA drives on-ground convergence to ensure every eligible tribal household gets all 25 benefits they are entitled to.
