KALIA — Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (Odisha)
KALIA (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) is Odisha's most comprehensive farmer support scheme, launched in January 2019 under CM Naveen Patnaik. Five components: (1) Cultivation Support: ₹5,000/season (₹10,000/year) to small and marginal farmers; (2) Livelihood support: ₹12,500 to landless labourers for goat rearing, mushroom cultivation, apiculture, fishery; (3) Financial assistance to vulnerable agricultural households; (4) ₹2 lakh life insurance per farmer (state pays premium); (5) ₹2 lakh personal accident insurance per farmer (state pays premium). Farmers can receive BOTH PM-KISAN AND KALIA.
