POSHAN 2.0
POSHAN 2.0 — Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0
POSHAN 2.0 (launched 2021) merged three previously separate schemes: ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services), Poshan Abhiyan, and PMMVY (Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana) into a unified nutrition mission. At the centre is the Anganwadi Centre (AWC) — a community-level service delivery point for children aged 0–6, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. Services include: supplementary nutrition (hot cooked meals or Take Home Ration), preschool education (Bal Vatika), growth monitoring, health check-ups, referral, immunisation tracking, and nutrition counselling. PMMVY (now within POSHAN 2.0) provides ₹5,000 maternity benefit for first child birth.
